CUPEs is now publishing a newsletter called Literacy News. The newsletter is a great resource for locals and staff involved in joint workplace literacy programs. This fall, CUPE members and staff helped organize and participated in Literate Cities conferences in Vancouver and Kingston. Plans are underway for a project to help prepare Saskatchewan water workers for mandatory certification. In November, the Literacy Reference Group, made up of members from across the country, met to start planning for the next phase of CUPEs project.
