Karen Ranalletta is general vice-president for the West on CUPE’s national executive board. She is a proud member of CUPE 2950, which represents over 1,500 clerical and library workers at the University of British Columbia. After serving as her local’s president for 8 years, Karen was elected president of CUPE BC in 2021—the first female president in 26 years. In addition to her work in the labour movement, Karen is passionate about the performing arts and sits on the board of the Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance.
