CUPE is on the front lines locally and globally. We have a reputation for defending the rights of workers and building strong communities across Canada. We are also building a reputation internationally. International work in CUPE is not done out of charity.We are motivated by the principle of solidarity, recognizing that, as a Canadian union, we are part of the same fight as that of our brothers and sisters who are struggling against corporate control in every region of the world. Whether we work in a community in Cape Town or Corner Brook, we have a right to decent work and access to public services.
