Workers at two Winnipeg nursing homes protested this week as negotiations ground to a halt.

National rep. Murray Craddock said “We’re talking, but the employer is not listening.”

The homes, Tuxedo Villa and Oakview are owned by Extendicare Inc. a Toronto-based multi-national which owns personal care homes across Canada and the United States.

“The employer has millions of dollars in assets, and they are holding their workers to minimal wages,” said Craddock.
