Municipal workers in the Town of Thessalon, in Northern Ontario, walked off the job on Friday, June 25th, after their employer refused to back away from wage rollbacks and benefit concessions.

Some of us only make $9 an hour, says Troy Miller, CUPE 3 spokesperson. It would cost the town less to back away from their concessions than to pay the thousands of dollars theyre shelling out for lawyers fees in putting us on the street.

Members and their families and friends are urging neighbours and Thessalon residents to call on their elected council members to put an end to this attack on workers in the community.
