Long-time union web guru Eric Lee has chosen cupe.ca as the Labourstart web site of the week.

Labourstart is a daily compendium of union-related news headlines from around the world. The site also offers unionists an opportunity to participate in international solidarity actions.

Visitors to cupe.ca can also read Labourstart’s headlines on our site if they change their preferences to display the Labourstart news feed.

Meanwhile local hosting grinds into gear

Visitor response to CUPE’s new web site has been mostly positive, and while there are glitches, vacancies and some things that don’t work as advertised, CUPE web site staff are working to remedy problems that are brought to our attention.

One of the most popular new services seems to be local web site hosting. We’ve been deluged with requests, which while heartening, has left us scrambling a bit to work out problems and get people set up.
