OTTAWA CUPE National President Paul Moist and CUPE National Secretary-Treasurer Claude Gnreux, together with labour and community supporters, will lead a mass picket and rally for striking Ottawa taxi dispatchers tomorrow (Wednesday, January 14th), from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., at the headquarters of Ziptrack, Coventry Connections, 455 Coventry Road, in Ottawa. The taxi dispatchers, represented by Local 4266.08 of CUPE, began their strike on January 1st to fight for fair wages and benefits. The 47 workers currently have no benefits and are paid an average of 9 dollars an hour.

CUPE, Canadas largest union, represents over half a million workers across Canada.
