Warning message

Please note that this page is from our archives. There may be more up-to-date content about this topic on our website. Use our search engine to find out.
Make sure to visit cupe.ca on May 1. The site will have a new look and feel to it – and a whole range of new features.

You will still get the latest news but you’ll now be able to customize your home page so that it tells you of new material posted to the site that’s important to you – about your province or sector or special interests. You’ll also be able to read headlines from CUPE sites you’ve selected at cupe.ca.

There will be chat rooms and message boards and news by email. And you’ll be able to create a mail address at cupe.ca that’s ad-free, spam-free and employer-free.

One of the most important new features is that cupe.ca will be able to host web sites for locals. All the programming has been done so all your local will have to do is keep the content up to date. After the initial setup, it can be as easy as copy and paste.

As well, we’ve expanded the e-action capacity of the site, allowing you to target not just PMs and MPs but employers, mayors, MLAs, corporations – you name it. This will make email or fax campaigns much easier – and more effective.

The site’s search engine has been improved and it’s easier to find what you’re looking for. As well, there’s lots of new content and we’ll be adding additional content and features in the coming weeks.

So, on May Day – and every day – visit cupe.ca. You can browse the front page or better still, log in to the site and unleash its full potential.

CUPE’s awarding-winning web site is about to get better.
