United Way Canada LogoUnited Way British Columbia (UWBC) and CUPE 1760 will be meeting on Monday, January 10 to begin negotiations for a renewed collective agreement, the first contract since United Way of the Lower Mainland amalgamated last year with five other United Way entities.

The current collective agreement expired on April 30, 2020.

“We look forward to the opportunity to negotiate updated terms that will address fairness and equality of rights for all members of the bargaining unit,” said CUPE 1760 President and bargaining committee member Debra Elless, adding that CUPE 1760 will keep its members updated through regular bargaining bulletins as negotiations proceed.

CUPE 1760 represents approximately 110 employees of United Way British Columbia working with communities in B.C.’s Interior, Lower Mainland, Central and Northern Vancouver Island.
