Victoria - Don Munroe, Q.C. has been requested and has agreed to be the mediator in the 7-month long dispute between the Ambulance Paramedics of BC (CUPE 873) and the BCAmbulanceService (BCAS).
The first day formediation talks has been set for August 9, 2000.
CUPE Local 873 served 72-hour strike notice on July 25th 2000. Job action has been delayed pending a meeting to establish essential service levels.
