Ambulance Paramedics of BC (APBC) have launched a new public relations campaign aimed at increasing awareness of the critical emergency response services that paramedics, members of CUPE 873, provide.

The campaign, “Paramedics Care”, features a short video released today as well as radio, print and online advertising that will be rolled out in the coming weeks.

In the video, produced by NOW Communications, six CUPE 873 members are filmed in a series of short action clips demonstrating that B.C.’s ambulance paramedics are part of a valuable public service.

The campaign focuses on the importance of crisis response, reliable service, expert care, and commitment to patients that CUPE 873 members demonstrate every day, says B.J. Chute, the union’s director of public education.

We care about our communities because we’re a part of them, and we work for the people in them,” says one paramedic seen in the video.
