National President Paul Moist joined supporters from other CUPE locals, staff and community groups Dec. 17th in Thunder Bay for a “We’re getting scrooged” rally, in support of the North of Superior Programs strike (CUPE 3253).

The 30 social service and mental health workers have received overwhelming support from CUPE members and staff, including donations of money and gifts since the strike began six months ago.

“It’s support like this that gives locals the boost they need to stay the course until a fair deal is on the table,” said Moist. “We’re especially happy to know the children of Local 3253 families will have gifts this holiday season and members will be ready to resume their struggle for fair wages in the New Year.”
