Ottawa - Passenger safety is threatened by new draft regulations that allow airlines to operate with fewer flight attendants on aircraft with more than 50 seats.

Tomorrow, flight attendants will testify before a House of Commons committee that Transport Canada has withheld key evidence during the process of developing the draft regulations and has produced an analysis of the heightened risk to passengers that is incomplete and biased against the interests of the traveling public. The flight attendants will urge the House of Commons Standing Committee on Transport to intervene.
