More CUPE health care workers in Manitoba are protesting being sent home 15 minutes early from each shift.

This week (May 18-22) the 700 members of Local 2509 at Seven Oaks Hospital and Local 1599 at the Salvation Army Grace General Hospital, both in Winnipeg, are planning protests. “CUPE workers are very upset about this,” said Calvin Whitehead, President of Local 1599. “Its a slap in the face.”

Two weeks ago the 700 members of Local 1550 held a protest at Winnipegs Health Sciences Centre.
