Red Deer College employees, students, and concerned residents of Red Deer will hold a rally to protect the college bookstore tomorrow at 5 pm.
The College has announced plans to contract out the bookstore by July 15. Privatizing this public service will mean higher costs for students and the loss of one of the few revenue generating departments at the Red Deer College. Privatization will also mean that students no longer have access to the knowledge and dedication of experienced staff who run the bookstore.
