The United Farm Workers have ended their boycott of California table grapes after 16 years, citing recent organizing and bargaining victories.

In a letter of thanks to supporters, Arturo Rodriguez, president of the UFW, cites 24 new or first time contracts that have been signed since 1994.

He also says, Cesar Chavezs crusade to eliminate the use of five of the most toxic chemicals plaguing farm workers and their families has been largely successful.
