Flight attendants at Air Canada reached a tentative settlement withthe companyMay 18. Air Canada Component president Pamela Sachs said, “The realities of the CCAA process have forced all unions to make concessions and we are no exception.”

The component is still finalizing the agreement, which includes wage cuts. But, adds Sachs, “CUPE flight attendants were set a target of $65 million, the largest single cost reduction target among all the unions.”

The component bargaining committee will be touring bases to explain the agreement beginning June 1st.
