In January, we took the historic step of sending out a request for proposal(RFP) for audit services for CUPE National for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2002. The proposal was sent to a total of seven (7) firms, four of which were national firms and three of which were local/regional firms. All seven firms responded with proposals.
After a thorough review of the proposals, a short list of two firms was selected for final interviews. As a result of these further discussions, a recommendation was made to select the national firm of Deloitte & Touche to act as the auditors for CUPE National, replacing the previous firm of McCay, Duff.
