For too long our members have been ignored and disrespected.

In the last 12 years, the Saskatchewan Consumer Price Index, or cost of living, has increased by 32 percent. In the same period, Saskatchewan’s minimum wage has increased by 50 percent, but the wages for health care workers have only increased by 14 percent.

The bottom line is health care providers need a raise, not just to recover their lost purchasing power, but to address the recruitment and retention challenges we have faced for many years.
