Human rights forumCUPE members’ lived experiences with sexual harassment at work, feelings of invisibility, and being excluded as an immigrant, as well as surviving colonialism and discrimination, took centre stage at Monday evening’s Human Rights Forum.

Using an innovative live improvisation approach called “playback,” the grassroots activist group Living Histories Theatre Ensemble created on-the-spot vignettes that captured the personal stories and struggles shared by many of those in attendance.

Some of the short scenes used humour, while others explored anger or empathy to “playback” the personal stories members relayed.
