Artificial intelligence and data-driven management (also called algorithmic management) are expected to change work in many ways depending on your sector, job classification and how your employer uses it. In some cases, specific job functions could be automated, leading to job reclassifications and work restructuring. In other cases, work of an entire job classification could be contracted out to an AI-based system, potentially leading to job loss.  

Our collective agreements must protect workers in the face of these changes. By bargaining provisions about technological change, data rights and AI use, we can ensure consultation and negotiation, stop discriminatory technology, protect workers’ health and safety, and secure our members’ jobs and wages.
