CUPE 882, the union representing inside workers at the City of Prince Albert will be holding their ratification vote today to accept or reject the city’s final offer.

“The union still has grave concerns about the proposed call centre, and structural changes the city wants to implement without negotiating with the union or receiving feedback from the impacted workers,” said Mira Lewis, CUPE representative. “We do not see the city moving on this issue, so we are letting our members decide our path forward by voting on the tentative agreement.”

Voting will end at 6:00 p.m., and the results will be shared Wednesday morning.

The union commenced job action on August 10, with a full withdrawal of services starting on September 11. The full withdrawal of services has impacted service levels at City Hall, EA Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, Frank Dunn Pool, Alfred Jenkins Field House, and the Art Hauser Centre.
