CUPE 118 and the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District in BC have signed a memorandum of settlement to conclude contract negotiations that began in 2018. The agreement would end the month-long overtime ban by ACRD workers.
Terms of the memorandum will not be made public until CUPE 118 members and the ACRD Board of Directors have an opportunity to ratify the deal, which is expected to occur before the end of July.
CUPE 118 represents 25 members working at the Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District.
The ACRD provides a variety of public services to the citizens, businesses and visitors of the region including water utilities, recycling, landfills, airports, building inspection and land use planning.
