This series of three-hour modules will give stewards a wide range of knowledge and skills to represent members and respond to situations in the workplace.

SLS - Handling Discipline and Discharge

Learn about key legal concepts and terms, the role of the stewards during the employer’s investigation, when discipline is given, and during grievance meetings, and how to develop effective arguments.

SLS - Handling Grievances
March 1 (9:00am) - 2, 2018 (12:00pm) (14 spaces available)

In this module stewards teach each other “best practices” and share strategies for handling difficult grievances.

SLS - Representing Members in Front of Management
March 1 (9:00am) - 2, 2018 (12:00pm) (14 spaces available)

This module equips stewards to be proactive when meeting with management. Learn tips for effective meetings, and build confidence by practicing meeting situations.

Affiliate: $75
Non-affiliate: $90

Registration fee is $75 for affiliated locals and $95 for non-affiliated locals. Fee includes material, lunch on Saturday, snacks, and refreshments.
