Workers at GrandBridge Energy, Inc., voted yesterday to join CUPE. GrandBridge was created by the merger, in April 2022, of Brantford Power, where workers were already members of CUPE 181, and Energy+ in Cambridge.
“Mergers are always stressful times of uncertainty for workers. We’re honoured that these energy workers chose to be CUPE members and look forward to working with them to negotiate a strong collective agreement and help them navigate this time of change in their workplaces,” said CUPE representative Heather Grassick.
