CUPE submitted Freedom of Information requests to all 78 publicly-funded universities in Canada asking for data on faculty, broken down by employment status, for the academic years 2006-07 through 2016-17.

The results have been compiled in this database, which CUPE is making available to researchers, activists, and local unions for their own research projects.

For more information on the methodology followed in creating this database, click on the Methodology page of the Database. For more information on the information provided by individual schools, see the Notes page.
