Young Workers in Action!

Did you know that you, a young trade union member, can take labour education courses - geared towards your interests?

The Young Workers in Action course is an interactive, fun, skill development course for young union members offered at the CLC’s Winter Schools. It is designed to help develop young labour activists in both the workplace and community. The course aims to build basic leadership skills and deal with public speaking fundamentals and effective communication. The basics of organizing a workplace will be covered to harness the above mentioned skills. And linkages to a larger labour movement will be made, including labour history and discussion and strategies of our involvement in social justice issues and movements.

The course will run from Jan 21-26 @ Harrison Hot Spring Hotel in Harrison, BC and Feb 18 - 23 @ Kempenfelt Conference Centre, in Barrie, Ont. For information on other courses or registration information, contact the Pacific CLC Office @ (604) 430-6766 and CLC Ontario office @ (416) 441-3710.
