York University student and campus unions will formally announce their support for 3,400 contract faculty, teaching and graduate assistants on strike at York University since last Thursday, November 6.
Representatives of the York Federation of Students, representing undergraduate students; York University Staff Association, representing support and clerical staff; CUPE 1356, representing workers in trades, maintenance, caretaking, housing, grounds, vehicles and security; York University Faculty Association, and the Graduate Student Association will hold a joint news conference on Monday, November 10 at 12 noon on the picket line at the main entrance to York University at York Boulevard and Keele Street.
