CUPE elected a new president, re-elected National Secretary-Treasurer Claude Généreux and elected a new National Executive Board.

Delegates debated, amended and adopted a strategy document. With no pro mikes, no con mikes, no formal committee structure, it was a successful experiment in having a discussion with 1800 people of widely divergent views.

Delegates also agreed to extend the special Solidarity Levy to continue to increase the union's national strike fund.
