The Canadian Labour Congress and Québec’s trade union centrals are organizing a global conference of lesbian, gay and transgendered workers as part of the 2006 Out Games this summer in Montréal.

Organizers of the Workers Out conference hope to create a strategic plan to get unions worldwide to take up the struggle for lesbian, gay and transgender rights in the workplace and wider society.

CUPE, one of the conference’s main partners, encourages its members to get involved in the three-day conference.
