CUPE 4393 members and their supporters participated in a solidarity rally, on Tuesday, October 24th, to raise awareness of the workers’ fight against management concession demands, including cuts to bereavement leave and other contract rollbacks.
“The show of solidarity and strong support from area locals will help our members fight against management’s unreasonable concession demands,” said Jill Smyth, CUPE national representative. The 35 workers will be in a legal strike position on October 27th.
