CUPE takes action to end violence against women, marks December 6

Dec 4, 2010 02:23 PM The special date marks the anniversary of the 1989 Ecole Polytechnique shootings, in which fourteen women were singled out for their gender and murdered. One of the women was a CUPE member. “December 6 is an occasion to reaffirm CUPE’s commitment to the broader struggle for women’s equality,” CUPE National President Paul Moist and CUPE Secretary-Treasurer Claude Généreux say in a joint letter to members. more »
