Community social services workers will be hosting a public soup kitchen and making valentines to send to Premier Campbell, and local MLA Tom Christensen on Thursday, February 14 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society 2900-32nd Avenue, in Vernon.
The homemade valentines will include such messages as “you’re cutting the heart of our communities” by slashing public services and jobs. Everyone is invited to enjoy a lunch that includes Campbell turkey soup.
