More than 200 union activists from all of Québec's labour centrals shut down a conference on P3s in the health care sector, Mar. 23.

The conference, held at Montréal's exclusive St. James Club, had been organized by the Canadian Institute for Public-Private Partnerships. Invited guests included some of the companies vying for lucrative P3 contracts in BC, Québec and Ontario.

The CSN, the FTQ and the SFPQ sent people to denounce the province's plan to carve up the health care sector and sell it off to corporate interests.
