NORTH BAY, ON – CUPE Local 1165-03, representing 12 clerical staff and audio-visual technicians at the Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord, has voted to ratify a new collective agreement. The workers had been without a local contract since August 31, 2014. The school board covers several northern municipalities, including North Bay, Mattawa, Sturgeon Falls and Verner. The workers are part of a larger local, CUPE Local 1165, which represents workers at several school boards in the region.
“The parties worked hard to reach a fair agreement,” said Michel Revelin, CUPE National representative. “We look forward to the school board also ratifying this new contract.”
The school board itself has not yet set a date for ratification.
