The Council of Canadians and CUPE Ontario are holding a province-wide tour to encourage bans on bottled water in municipal and provincial facilities.  The 15-city speaking tour, which arrives in Toronto on Thursday, January 29, features Maude Barlow, National Chairperson of the Council of Canadians and Senior Advisor on Water to the President of the UN General Assembly, City Councilor Paula Fletcher, as well as Sid Ryan and Yolanda McClean representing CUPE Ontario.  Mr. Ryan will participate in the Toronto event and will be available for interviews.

WHEN:    January 29, 7:00 p.m.
WHERE:  Steelworkers Hall, 25 Cecil Street

The bottled water industry sells water — a shared public resource — for huge profits, undermining our faith in public water.  The Unbottle It! speaking tour will equip communities with the facts, and help them tap into clean and safe public drinking water.
