Toronto school board workers begin work-to-rule
Members of CUPE 4400 will not be working unpaid time and will stick to the letter of their contract after being without a contract for a year.
The local announced the low-key work to rule campaign this week after noting that negotiations with the board are stuck in a time warp.
“After months at the table, the employer is still pushing a nasty list of concessions,” CUPE 4400 president John Weatherup said.
“It’s a time warp Mike Harris and Ernie Eves are long-gone from Queen’s Park but we’re still in the Tory era at the (board), both in the schools and at the bargaining table,” he said.
