THUNDER BAY, Ont. Following a lengthy negotiation session, a tentative agreement was reached early this morning, to end the 8-month strike by Local 3253 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) at North of Superior Programs (NOSP).
Both parties have agreed to keep details of the agreement confidential, until it is ratified.
CUPE Local 3253 members will meet on Sunday, February 27th, to vote on the agreement, with the 30 mental health and social service workers returning to work as early as March 1, if it is ratified.
