After two weeks on the picket line, CUPE Local 218 have reached a tentative deal with the Durham Regional School Board. The custodial and maintenance workers, secretaries and education assistants are looking forward to getting back to their crucial work.  

 The 2100 support staff workers went on strike March 21st. The major issues were workload, wages, and benefits.  Ratification voting will take place this afternoon, and details on the agreement will be forthcoming.
