A tentative agreement has been reached between Warden Woods Community Centre and the union representing the centre’s employees.

Local 5218 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE 5218) reached the tentative agreement with Warden Woods yesterday. The two parties were assisted by a provincially-appointed conciliation officer.

Details of the agreement are not being released until members have had a chance to review and vote on whether or not to accept the deal. A membership meeting and ratification vote is scheduled to take place December 10.

Accordingly, CUPE 5218 will not be making any further comment until this ratification vote takes place.

Warden Woods Community Centre is a multi-service community agency operating in Scarborough. The members of CUPE 5218 provide a wide range of community programming and services to seniors, youth, children and at-risk populations.
