Regina Striking support workers in the Wadena School Division are taking their roving picket line to the Saskatchewan School Trustees office in Regina on Wednesday, September 17. The school workers, members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, plan to highlight the role SSTA negotiator Bill Wells has played in the protracted labour dispute.

The Wadena strikers expect to be on the picket line outside the SSTA office at 2222 13th Avenue by 11:30 a.m. Other union members will join them for a noon hour rally organized by the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour, where CUPE 3078 President Donna Zarowny and other labour leaders will describe the school support workers struggle for a fair contract.

The 80 school support workers began rotating job action on April 9. They have been on a full-scale strike since August 25.
