BRANTFORD, Ont. Striking Grand Erie District School Board workers, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), will hold a solidarity rally outside the boards headquarters, at 349 Erie Avenue, at 4:45 pm Monday, April 11, 2005, where board members will be holding their bi-monthly meeting.

The 300 office, clerical and technical workers, on strike since Friday, April 8th, will be rallying to protest the boards concession demands on job security language that led to the strike. The strikers will be joined by education assistants, maintenance and custodial staff, communicative disorder assistants and food technicians, also represented by CUPE 5100, as well as teachers from the Elementary Teachers Federation and OSSTF, and other community supporters.
