Why:
Employees at the St. Catharines Museum were forced to go on strike on Friday night, after talks with their employer failed to reach an agreement. The union has been trying to negotiate an agreement with the employer for several months. The staff are asking Council to step in and appoint a negotiator with the willingness and authority to settle a contract.
