Negotiators for striking Toronto Public Library workers have reached a tentative agreement with the Library Board that could end their ten-day walkout.

The agreement, if ratified, will bring an end to the strike that started March 19.

Details of the new agreement will not be released until Local 4948 members ratify it at a meeting on March 29, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., at The Prince Weston Hotel, 900 York Mills Road.

The Toronto Public Library Workers’ Union, Local 4948 of the Canadian Public Employees Union, represents about 2,300 library staff, over half of whom work part-time.
