Striking workers with the municipal housing authority in Montreal have launched a special help line to assist elderly, disabled and frail tenants in need.

Ten weeks into their strike, the 130 blue collar workers are frustrated by the arrogance of management who have shown no willingness to find a settlement to this conflict.

But at the same time, the members of Local 301-03 are concerned that the tenants not suffer in this conflict. The help line, staffed by volunteers from the local 24 hours a day seven days a week was launched Tuesday, October 6.
