Limestone District School Board workers averted a strike after reaching a tentative four-year collective agreement on Friday, January 20.

“We are pleased with the outcome of this round of negotiations,” said Doug Stevenson, president of CUPE local 1480. “A lot of outstanding issues have been dealt with and we believe this is a good agreement for our members.” Details of the tentative deal will not be released until after ratification by the workers and the school board.
