CORNWALL – A tentative agreement has been reached between CUPE Local 4155 and the Conseil de district catholique de l’est ontarien (French Catholic Board of Eastern Ontario), averting a strike by 285 custodial and clerical support staff.
“Details cannot be released until ratification this weekend,” says CUPE National Representative Bob Manny. “I can say that our negotiating committee is strongly recommending members ratify the deal.”
The custodians, secretaries and other education support staff cover a wide area from Hawkesbury and Cornwall in the East, to Embrun and Russell in the West.
