PRINCE GEORGE – Municipal workers in Prince George will begin withdrawing services at 8 a.m. Saturday morning after being without a collective agreement for nearly one year.

More than 500 CUPE 399 and 1048 members have scheduled full scale job action at all city worksites. This is the first time job action has taken place in the City of Prince George.

Interim essential service levels were set earlier this week by the BC Labour Relations Board. As per this order CUPE workers will continue to provide snow clearing services however other services such as the arenas and pools will be affected.
