(Quebec City - Convention) Just days after becoming a Companion to the Order of Canada the countrys highest honour Stephen Lewis will give a passionate address to delegates at the Canadian Union of Public Employees bi-annual national convention at the Quebec City Convention Centre on Tuesday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. Lewis is the United Nations Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, and is one of the worlds strongest advocates for the disease-stricken continent.

He will talk about his fight to secure cheaper drugs for HIV/AIDS sufferers, and the crisis that is caused in African workplaces when so many workers become sick and die.

CUPE is Canadas largest union, representing 535,000 public sector workers, including hospital workers, school workers, child care workers and municipal workers.
