(London) - Last night the executive of CUPE Local 101 met to consider the recent termination of Stephen Joksas. The decision of the executive was unanimous to authorize a full investigation into all matters relating to this issue.

Both the public and the media should understand that under the duty of fair representation provisions in the Ontario Labour Relations Act (OLRA), unions are legally bound to represent their members in a fair and impartial way.

Local 101 will make no further comment until the investigation is complete.
